Suggestions about Citronella No-Bark Collars

Dear Adam:

I've got a client that has just adopted your dog. Your dog is adapting to its new apartment, but is barking a little once the owner leaves. A buddy of hers has lent a citronella collar on her to test.

My real question is: Can there be any health issues with while using collar the spray getting into the eyes or lungs?

I'd like to learn about peoples experiences using the collars whether or not they are negative or positive.

Thanks ahead of time!!

RD

Dear RD:

They have an inclination to jam up. As well as exhaust spray. And - even though it probably will not get rid of the dog - you never know what spraying that stuff to them and nose is going to do on the long-term time period.

Ideally, your dog would only have to be sprayed a couple of times after which he'd learn how to by no means bark with the collar. But everybody I understand appears to feel the refill spray bottles just like a worm eats via a discarded balogna sandwich. Which indicate the correction in the spray is just motivational sufficient to find the dog to cease the present exhibition from the behavior, but isn't motivational sufficient to create him make sure to not get it done later.

I suggest the Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter. It is a high quality item (it provides the dog a gentle shock when he barks) and delay pills work perfectly. Get one of these internet explore google. com.

Best of luck,

Adam

P. S. If you have got the Citronella collar... go on and check it out and find out whether it matches your needs. It will not get rid of the dog overnight.; -) And you'll just get lucky and discover that certain or two sprays is going to be all you need to curb the behaviour... in case your dog includes a fairly soft temperament to start with.

That is all for the time being, folks!
